Not all of the Kadesh wanted war on their distant brethren, all they wanted to do was defend the Garden and keep to their traditions. After the encounter with the Kushan, many Kadeshi people wanted revenge on their former-nomadic brethren. There was a division on the matter of revenge, however. Some of the people just wanted to rebuild their defenses and hope that the Kushan never returned. As a result, a movement started that consisted of fanatical Kadeshi calling themselves the "Neo-Kadesh". They defied all traditions and even twisted their own religion since they wished to leave the gardens and get revenge.
